What’s new?
Coming soon, BCCannabisStores.com customers in select Metro Vancouver postal codes will be receiving their orders direct to their door via Pineapple Express Delivery’s (PED) next (business) day delivery service, instead of via Canada Post. Customers with PO Boxes and customers outside of the eligible area will continue to receive orders via Canada Post’s Expedited Shipping service.
When will this happen?
The new delivery service will be in effect early 2022.
How will I know if my order is eligible?
Customers located in select Metro Vancouver postal codes will be eligible for Pineapple Express Delivery’s service, once it is available. Your postal code will determine which carrier your order will be shipped with. Customers will be automatically directed to the carrier serving their area (either Canada Post or PED) when ordering online. Please note that customers using PO boxes will not be eligible for PED.
How much will it cost?
Delivery will remain at the current $6 +tax rate, anywhere within BC, for all online BCCannabisStores.com customers.
What if I want to continue getting my deliveries through Canada Post?
The applicable carrier (whether Canada Post or PED) will automatically be selected based on delivery postal code. BC Cannabis Stores plans to provide customers with an option to select a carrier in the future; however, this option is not currently available.
Why is BC Cannabis Stores moving to PED for select postal codes?
PED provides:
- Next business day delivery service for customers in select Metro Vancouver postal codes
- Delivery direct-to-door rather than picking it up at local post office
- 30-minute delivery windows given to customers for advance notice
- SMS (text message) notifications to let you know updates from when your order leaves the warehouse to when it’s about to be delivered to your door
- Opportunities for customers to reschedule their expected delivery via SMS or online chat if needed
These added benefits will provide an enhanced delivery experience for online customers within the service area.
